Abstract

To the origins of the contemporary historiographie hispanicism in Italy: 2) from the decennio cavouriano at the first world war.

The decisive moment of the italian unitary process and the contemporary crepuscolar period of the regime isabelino coincided with the appear of two distinct national storio- graphies, both marked by the “party’s storiography”. But in the last decennio of the nine- teenth-century the contemporary Spain seemed fall out of the mental horizon of the italian historic graphy, while travet literature rose and medioeval and modern studies spread. The spanish intellectual revival after the 1898 favour a new period in the italian-spanish cultural relations.
