Abstract

A sudden sparkle in Miguel Delibes’s La sombra del ciprés es alargada.

A criticai analysis of Miguel Delibes’ first novel, of which the essay points out the similarities with Dante’s Commedia. On more general bases it is clearly shown how deeply the religious thought influenced, since its literary beginnings, the novéls of the Valladolid’s writer.
