España moderada en la Europa de su tiempo
Abstract
Spain moderate in the Europe of its time
The Spanish moderates accomplished the unfinished task of reconstructing the State born from the Liberal Revolution. The radicality of this explains the turn to the Moderantismo since 1844. The same happened in the European countries upset by the 1848 revolutions, whose liberalism evolved in a moderate and gradualist sense. Even with its peculiarities, the Moderada and Unionista Spain wasn’t out of tune with Cabral’s Portugal, Napoléon III’s France or Cavour’s Italy.
