All’origine dell’ispanismo storiografico contemporaneo in Italia. 1. I precursori dell’epoca romantica e risorgimentale
Resumen
To the origins of the contemporary historiographic hispanicism in Italy: 1) the forerunners of the romantic and risorgimento age.
It is well-known that the history of contemporary Spain has a precise end ad quo in the events and in the processes that have their divide in periods in the year 1808. It is less widespread the convinction that the roots of the contemporary Hispanicism in Italy, particularly at a historiographic level, should be dated back to the echo that the guerra de la Indipendencia provoked in the Europe of Restoration. The events concerning it and the values sprung from it inflamed the enthusiasm of the European romantics and particularly of the Italian romantics, who were creating the foundations for a renewal of Vico’s Scienza Nuova on the national basis. To the moving of the historical judgment on Spain, began during and after the war against Napoleon, it is added a deepening of historical reflection on the Spanish events, caused by the synchrony between the tormented passage of the Iberian peninsula from the ancien régime to the liberal state and the contemporary development of the Italian Risorgimento.
