Resumen

A portrait of a dictatorship. The Spanish policy in the writings of José Carlos Mariátegui, 1923-1930.

After a brief presentation of the links of Mariategui with Europe, the author examines his writings on the Spanish policy. In these articles Mariategui works out deep reflections on the Directory, on the shift from the military dictatorship to the civil dictatorship, and on the consequent politic transition towards the Republic. Besides this, two problems are pointed out. The Peruvian essayst dwells upon them with peculiar interest. They are: the comparison between the spanish dictatorship and the italian fascism, and the attitude of the intellectuals in front of the regime of Primo de Rivera.
