Resumen

The Reception of Francoism Political Education: Attitudes to the Youth Falangist Organizations

This article analyzes the reception of the political education project promoted during the Franco regime by the Falange youth organizations, both in the education system and in the field of free time and non-formal education. It is based on oral sources and official reports from a research focused on the Valencian Country and particularly attentive to the fifties, sixties and seventies. It deals with both the efficacy and the limits of the social penetration of Falangist youth organizations.

    Carlos Fuertes Muñoz è dottore in Storia contemporanea e ricercatore nell’ambito disciplinare delle Scienze sociali dell’Università di Valencia. È specialista in storia ed educazione socioculturale durante la dittatura di Franco, oltre che nella didattica della storia. È l’autore dei libri Viviendo en dictadura. La evolución de las actitudes sociales hacia el franquismo (2017) ed El Tribunal de Orden Público en el País Valenciano. Testimonios de la represión y el antifranquismo (2011, con Alberto Gómez Roda). Ha coeditato No solo miedo. Actitudes políticas y opinión popular bajo la dictadura franquista (1936-1977) (2013) e Mujeres y represión franquista. Una guía para su estudio en Valencia (2017).
