Steven Forti
With a PhD in History from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Università di Bologna (2011), Steven Forti is currently a researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History (IHC) of the NOVA University of Lisbon and lecturer at the UAB.
Forti’s investigations are oriented towards the political history and political thought of the XX and XXI century, with a particular focus on Europe in the interwar period, from the perspective of comparative history and biographical analysis.
A member of the Editorial Staff of Spagna Contemporanea, Forti collaborates with several journals of contemporary history in Italy and Spain and several newspapers and magazines, with contributions on the political and cultural situation in Europe. In the last ten years, Forti has taken part in more than sixty conferences and scientific seminars in Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Cuba, Serbia, Greece and the USA.
Forti is a member of the Centre d’Estudis sobre les Èpoques Franquista i Democràtica; the Seminario Interuniversitario de Investigadores del Fascismo; the European Network on Theory and Practice of Biography (ENTPB) and the Rede Internacional de Estudo do Corporativismo e da Organização de Interesses (NETCOR).
