Abstract
Sul riaffiorare di remote accuse. Appunti sull’omicidio rituale nell’antisemitismo contemporaneo spagnolo
For a very long time Spain has been considered to be exempt from the phenomenon of modern anti-Semitism. For this and other reasons historiography on the matter is practically non-existent. Dealing in particular with the Niño de La Guardia’s episode, the essay studies the revival during the second half of the Nineteenth Century of the ritual murder’s charge, and investigates its political and ideological employ in the following decades until the Fifties of this century. It has been stated that the ritual murder “exists” even without a corpse. The Author’s tries to prove that the charge plays a non negligible ideological role even in a case, such as the Spanish one, where events are recovered from a far off past, and, more generally, that anti-Semitism exists, i.e. plays its own role, even if a substantial jews’ presence is lacking
