Abstract
La Spagna nelle Rassegne politiche di Ruggiero Bonghi sulla “Nuova Antologia” (1866-1874)
Minister, Member of Parliament and journalist, prominent character of the so-called Destra storica, Ruggiero Bonghi dealt on foreign affairs in his monthly column, Rassegne politiche, published in the “Nuova Antologia” from 1866 to 1874. Within these pages it happens frequently to meet with news and comments on Spain; howewer he was not lacking for topics to discuss: Isabel II’s crisis, the 1868 revolution, the efímeros régimes of the Sexenio, Amedeo of Savoy, general Pavia’s golpe and so on. Bonghi’s comments are anyhow aimed at seeking the meaningfulness of the different events within a transnational context, and therefore to place the Spanish events within an interpretative frame extended to the whole of Europe.
