Abstract
Partidos políticos y sistema de partidos en el País Vasco durante la Restauración, 1876 y 1914
The economic development undergone by the Basque Country since the second half of the XIX Century and even more after the Second Carlis War’s end was strictly connected to a series of social and political changes whose result was a political diversification process guided by an increasing number of political parties. Such being the case, a competitive party system took shape during the Restoration period defined by a polarised pluralism. So, besides the dynastic parties other groups were born, such as the Socialist Party, the Nationalist Basque Party or the Partido Integrista, without considering the Carlist movement, that continued very strong in large portions of the region.
