Abstract

In this section, we have Alfonso Botti’s first part of a wide investigation upon the Spanish Civil War’s documents to be found in the Secret Vatican’s Archives. This first instalment studies the papers of the Madrid’s Nunciature, tracing the Vatican’s posture in the period 1936-1938, and especially the relationships with the Francoist authorities and the other European governments toward the Spanish Civil War.
