Abstract

The Church and the Transition from the pages of “Ecclesia” (1976-1983)

Stemming from a general interest in Spain’s national question during Francoism and the democratic period, this article examines the positions and the perspective of the Church on the Transition and on the process of establishment of the State of Autonomies. The study has a documentary basis, i.e. Catholic Action’s “Ecclesia” journal from 1976 to 1983, and proposes some interpretations and a future line of research on a topic still hardly looked into.
