Abstract

The CTV cinematografic image

This article will show the image of the Corps Troops Volunteers (CTV) through three different examples: the documentary film La fin del frente rojo cantábrico. La toma de Gijón (1937), the documentary reportage Nuestros prisioneros(1937) and the movie ¡Ay, Carmela! (1990).

Magí Crusells, Università di Barcellona

Magí Crusells, addottoratosi in Storia contemporanea presso l’Università di Barcellona, dirige il Centre d’Investigacions Film-Historia presso la medesima Università e la rivista “Film-Història” online. Ha scritto diversi libri sulla Guerra civile spagnola: La Guerra Civil española: cine y propaganda (Barcelona, Ariel, 2000), Las Brigadas Internacionales en la pantalla (Ciudad Real, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, 2001) e Imágenes para la memoria: Guerra Civil y Cine (Madrid, J.C. Clementine, 2006). Assieme a Josep Maria Caparros è stato commissario dell’esposizione “Cinema en temps de guerra, exili i repressió”, organizzata dalla Generalitat de Catalunya nel 2009.
