Abstract

The “Revolutionary Phalangist”. Three Moments in the Political Route of Dionisio Ridruejo

Dionisio Ridruejo joined the Phalange during the Second Spanish Republic. Closed to Serrano Suñer, he became an important supervisor of the Franco’s regime; although, when he returned from Russian front where he had fought with the División Azul, he was confined. Far away to being an anti-francoist in the Forties, as affirmed by a part of historiography, Ridruejo was a defender of a totalitarian turn of Franco’s regime. In the Sixties, when he began to criticize Franco, he moved to opposition.
