Abstract

Poder político y representación social en Guipúzcoa durante el primer franquismo (1936-1947)

Investigating the local administrations (Ayuntamientos), the article studies how the Nuevo Estado came to be settled in Guipúzcoa, a region which did not join the military upraising and had to be conquered with a very hard campaign. In this region the the hegemonic political force was Carlism.   A brief state of the question, the analysis of the legislation and of the province’s political offices between 1936 and 1947 complete the essay.

  • Pedro Barruso

    Pedro Barruso ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in storia presso l’Università di Deusto (Bilbao) e un Master in giornalismo nell’Università dei Paesi Baschi. I suoi interessi scientifici vertono sulla Seconda repubblica, la guerra civile e il primo franchismo nella provincia di Guipúzcoa. Ha pubblicato: El movimiento obrero en Guipúzcoa durante la II República (1966) e Verano y revolución. La Guerra civil en Guipúzcoa, julio-septiembre de 1936 (1996).
